Duplicate Checker Tool
July 7, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
This is a tool you can use to check the similarity of two articles. The tool allows you to use either a DupeCop type comparison or a higher order shingle function comparison. Click below to go to the tool.
If you want the DupeCop functionality, then check the DupeCop checkbox. The more robust checker allows you to weigh the top part of article more relative to rest of the article. This was done because some speculate that search engines may only check the first part of text on a page when evaluating for duplicate content.
To be clear, there is no evidence that any search engines are using these type of checks in their routines for finding duplicate content. In fact, it has been shown that by having unique titles and meta descriptions, a page can pass the search engines’ duplicate checkers.

Keyword Commercial Intent Tool

WARNING:
This tool is based on Microsoft Lab’s On-line Commercial Intent page found here. They are either trying to prevent tools of this type accessing the page and they just have a really poor page design. Currently the page can take up to 45 seconds to load and then 100 seconds to process a single query. Therefore if this tool seems to be hanging (taking a loooong time) it is due to Microsoft Lab page not responding.
